One thing tourists might not know about my country, the United States of America, is that in most areas, public transportation is not easily accessible. The United States is a very large country, and it takes days to travel coast to coast by car. Much of the country does not use a public train system, unlike the country of Japan. Only about 5% of working Americans use public transportation. Many Americans without personal transportation use ride share services such as Uber or Lyft. If you are using public transportation in America, the best tip is to pay attention to your stop. Many train and bus systems do not announce stop names or destinations, so you must be aware of when you need to get off.
