Imagine chillin’ poolside under shade with a nice, refreshing drink; perfect summer image, right?

So what’s one way to stay cool in the heat? Refreshing hydration! Pair that with laziness and it’s a “chefs kiss” of a perfect, low-key, hot summer day.

About the drink: water infused with real fruit!

I personally like water with lemon and orange slices, but you can use cucumber or strawberries; mint is also a popular choice. You can even use various types of melons and berries. Really, the choices are endless! Mix and match how you like; experiment and find the combinations you like best!

It’s simple to make too:

1. Decide what fruit you want to use and cut them up into pieces.

2. Fill up a pitcher of water.

3. Let it sit in your fridge for at least 12 hrs, and up to 24hrs.

With some fruit, like lemons and limes, you could pretty much add them to water on-the-fly and still get a good flavor. For some fruit, it might be better off letting them sit in the water for the 12 -24 hrs infusion time.

I say, experiment! It’s not something that can be “messed up”, so you’re good!

Hydration is ultra important in high temperatures; but water can be boring for some, so this is a great way to stay healthy, beat the heat, and also enjoy variety in what you drink!

Oh yea, and be lazy – who really wants to be moving around and active when it’s hot, anyway?

Will you try it? Have you tried it?
