You will LOVE my Favourite English Teaching Tool!

Zia

Hi everyone!
How have you been?
My favourite teaching tool is not one I use in class, I recommend it when you are relaxing. it's TV! (See I knew you would like my teaching tool!)

I recommend the sitcom (situation comedy) Friends as a tool when you are watching tv, because it's very easy to learn English when you are laughing and having fun. Just put on the Japanese subtitles on if you have trouble but try to listen to what they are saying as it will sharpen your idiom knowledge. Idioms are phrases like "The world is your oyster", that means "you can do anything, nothing is impossible."

My other recommendations are Modern Family if you have kids, or The Office if you are into workplace comedies. They are all funny and entertaining.

Comedies use a lot of word play and idioms in natural English so give it a go.

What sitcom do you like to watch?

By the way, if you want to practice idioms, please check out my idioms lesson.
Bye!
