I've chosen a newspaper article to analyse during our lesson. During the course of the lesson you will improve your reading and listening skills and have an understanding of how comprehension of school work is set out as well as how to answer it.
Description
Hi there,
This lesson is broken down into two parts, linked to an article on space travel.
Part 1 will be reading for understanding. I will choose a newspaper article, relevant to your age.
During this part we will read the article. Words you don't understand will be explained and you will have a thourough understanding of the article. I am also happy to email it to you before our lesson, but it will still be read during the lesson.
Part 2 will be looking at how comprehension questions are asked. I will also ask you questions related to the newspaper clipping that I have chosen and you will answer it orally.
If you wish to choose your own newspaper article, I am more than happy to do that with you instead. However please may I ask that you email it to me 24 hours before our planned lesson to enable me time to prepare the lesson.
