Lesson Topic: Future Tenses with "Going to" and "Will" + "To Be"
Lesson Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

Understand the difference between “will” and “going to” for future intentions and predictions.

Use the verb "to be" correctly in both structures.

Form affirmative, negative, and question sentences.

Practice speaking and writing about future plans and predictions.
1. Warm-up (5–10 mins)
Discussion Prompt:- What are your travel plans or vacation plans

What are your plans for the weekend?

Do you think it will rain tomorrow?
(Write answers on the board to naturally introduce both "going to" and "will.")
2. Presentation (10–15 mins)

"Going to" is often used for planned events or intentions.

"Will" is used for predictions or spontaneous decisions.
3. Guided Practice (10–15 mins)
A. Fill in the blanks
(Use both “will” and “going to” with "to be")

B. Make sentences using prompts

4. Speaking Practice (10–15 mins)
A. Roleplay
Student A is a project manager. Student B is a team member. Discuss future deadlines and team availability using “going to be” and “will be.”
Example:

"I think John will be available on Thursday."

B. Prediction Game
Students predict things about the future using "will be" or "going to be."

Write 5 sentences using “will be” and 5 using “going to be” about:
