Description

In this 25-minute lesson, we will read a short story or part of a book together in Portuguese.

Shared reading is a practical way to improve reading comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking skills at the same time.

During the lesson, we may:

  • read the text aloud together;
  • clarify new words and expressions;
  • discuss the characters and events;
  • make predictions about what may happen next;
  • talk about your opinions and interpretation;
  • answer comprehension questions at the end of the chapter.

I will help you understand the text without translating every word, notice useful grammar structures, and use the new vocabulary in conversation.

The reading material and difficulty will be adapted to your level and interests. We can work with one short story in a single lesson or continue reading the same book over several lessons.

This lesson is ideal for students who enjoy stories and would like to develop reading and conversation skills in a relaxed and guided way.
