Curious about what it’s really like to live in Spain? I spent twenty years there, from my student days to building my academic career at Spanish universities. If you’re thinking about studying or living in Spain, or simply want to know more about everyday life there, I’d be happy to share what I learned from those years.
This is a relaxed, personalised conversation about life in Spain.
What can we talk about?

🎓 Studying and university life — what it’s like to study at a Spanish university and experience academic life there

💬 Your questions and interests — you can also bring your own questions or topics, and we’ll take the conversation from there.
How does the lesson work?
The topics above are the main areas we can explore, and I’ll have questions and prompts ready to help the conversation flow. You’re also welcome to bring your own questions or focus on something specific that interests you.
I’m happy to share my own experiences, perspectives and observations, but I also want the lesson to be a genuine conversation rather than a one-way lecture. We can compare experiences, explore different perspectives and follow whatever aspects of life in Spain you find most interesting.
You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. We can talk in English or Spanish, depending on your preference.
