Description
The "Meeting New People" class is structured to enhance social interaction skills, particularly useful for those who might feel anxious or unsure about initiating conversations with strangers. The session begins with a preparation task before watching a video showcasing a conversation between people who are meeting for the first time. This video serves as a practical example and sets the stage for the lesson.
Following the video, a variety of useful phrases and vocabulary that are commonly used in first-time meetings will be introduced. These linguistic tools are aimed at helping participants feel more confident and equipped to handle similar situations in their own lives.
After the vocabulary and phrases have been introduced, the class will engage in drills. These practice sessions are designed to reinforce learning by allowing you to actively use the new phrases and vocabulary in simulated scenarios that mimic real-life interactions. This hands-on approach ensures that you can apply what you've learned in a supportive and structured environment, thereby improving your social skills in a practical and effective manner.
