Alternatives:   1. Buy a recorder.  Print blank sheet music. 
2. Print out blank sheet music and the lesson with be about notes and what they mean on a piece of paper.  
We will start with the note "C" and go up through "D, E, F, G."

I will use my recorder to allow the student without a recorder to listen to what each note of the scale sounds like.  

We will go one step at a time.
