Adverbs of frequency and the present simple (always, usually/normally, often, sometimes, seldom/hardly ever, never)
Description
A fun way to teach adverbs of frequency suitable for age 7 upwards and levels A2-B1.
Student is introduced the various common adverbs of frequency and is asked to put them on a cline from 0% to 100%.
Student is shown how a sentence is formed and the position of the adverb remembering that the verb 'to be' is a little different.
The student should be aware of various daily activities.
The teacher then picks a random adverb from a hat and the student has to verbally form a sentence that is true for them.
This continues until all adverbs have been used. When this done the teacher and the student can discuss any errors made
