In this lesson, we'll watch a short video that introduces us to Lexie Saxton, a fourteen-year-old with her own fishing boat who fishes for lobster on the coast of Maine. After listening for a few key terms, we'll read a magazine article written by another lobster fisherman that tells us what a typical day in his working life is like. This lesson will include a vocabulary lesson to strengthen your vocabulary and help you get more out of this activity. I want to know: could you make your living fishing for lobster? Does this seem like an attractive or unattractive way to earn your living?
