This lesson is suitable for intermediate level learners
In this 50 minute lesson, we will:
-Discuss the difference between confusing verbs.
-These verbs are: Do Vs. Make; Listen Vs. Hear; See, Watch and Look; Rob Vs. Steal; Close Vs. Shut
-Through practice exercises we will review the difference between and among certain similar verbs.
-I will explain the general rule to differentiate one verb from the other.
-I will also discuss and provide a list of fixed expressions, expressions that do not follow general rules. These expressions are the way they are and cannot be explained or changed. It is best to just accept them and memorize them for future use.
-We will create our own sentences and dialogues using these verbs to ensure your understanding of their differences and uses.
-Dialogues will involve a discussion about our hobbies, activities, creations, work tasks, etc.
-With the use of exercises which I will send to you via Skype chatroom, we can study these grammar details together. This lesson will help you improve your English speaking and writing accuracy. You will be more confident with your choice of wording after this lesson!
