レッスンの詳細
This is a collaborative storytelling English free-talk and storytelling class where your child provides the ideas, and we develop a Minecraft story together through conversation.
Your child can decide who our characters are, where the story takes place, what adventures they go on, what problems they encounter, and what happens next. Maybe we're exploring an ancient city, escaping from the Warden, discovering a mysterious portal, or creating an entirely new Minecraft adventure!
As your child shares their ideas, I'll type our story into a document and share my screen so they can watch the story come to life. We'll talk through our ideas, make decisions together, and continue developing the story throughout the lesson.
There is no writing or typing required from the student. Your child can focus on speaking, sharing ideas, answering questions, making choices, and being creative while I handle the typing.
This is not a traditional, structured English or writing lesson. The goal is to use collaborative storytelling as a fun way for students to practice communicating in English while creating something of their own.
I'll adjust our conversation to your child's English level and provide friendly guidance when they need help finding a word, forming an idea, or expressing what they want to happen next.
⊹ Learning through Collaborative Storytelling ⊹
Creating a story together gives students plenty of natural reasons to communicate and think creatively. During our lesson, students can practice:
English conversation - Using English to communicate ideas, make decisions, answer questions, and develop the story with another person.
Creativity & imagination - Inventing characters, locations, adventures, conflicts, solutions, and unexpected events.
Storytelling - Exploring how a story develops through characters, settings, problems, events, and resolutions.
Sequencing ideas - Thinking about what happens first, what happens next, and how different events connect.
Descriptive language - Describing characters, environments, actions, emotions, objects, and events.
Vocabulary - Encountering and using words naturally as they're needed to tell the story.
Problem-solving - Deciding how characters should respond to challenges and what could happen when something goes wrong.
Decision-making - Choosing between different possibilities and determining where the story should go next.
Cause and effect - Exploring how one character's choice or event can influence what happens afterward.
Speaking & expressing ideas - Explaining creative ideas and finding ways to communicate them clearly in English.
Listening & collaboration - Listening to another person's ideas, responding to suggestions, and creating something together.
Confidence using English - Having the freedom to experiment with English while focusing on creativity rather than trying to make every sentence perfect.
By the end of the lesson, we'll have created a Minecraft story from your child's own ideas and imagination!

- Minecraft is not played in this class.
- Students are required to have cameras on unless otherwise given permission not to.
- All students must have a guardian present for the first 5 minutes of the lesson in case of technical difficulties.
- I do not help with writing or penmanship.
