Description

端午節とは中国の伝統的な祝日であり、また端陽節、竜舟節、重午節、龍節、陽節、天中節などとも言われています。
端午節は、もともと南方の呉越先民が龍祖を祭るために創設したものです。戦国時代の楚の詩人屈原は5月5日に汨羅江で自尽したと伝えられていますが、後に屈原を記念する節句として行われました。
端午節と春節、清明節、中秋節はともに中国の四大伝統の祝日と称されます。
