You will feel comfortable and relaxed in this first lesson on mastering more complex English language vocabulary. This will help you to master academic reading and academic writing. In many respects this will boost your ability to listen and speak.
 
Warm up: 10 minutes - we'll discuss current events or issues related to YOU!
 
Vocabulary expansion: 20 minutes - we will examine the origins and relations of about 20 difficult words. This may include word collocations, famous quotes, and more.
 
Academic reading: 15 minutes - we will examine interesting articles written for academic purposes. We will explore skimming and scanning techniques.
 
Wrap up: 5 minutes - we will consider valuable assignments for you to complete and submit for our next meet.
 
Keep in mind that this is just a guidline, and can be altered for individual student's needs.
