Canadian born and raised by West African and West Indian parents respectively. I have been fortunate enough to have been born and raised in Ottawa and move to Toronto where I have been resided for many years now .

Description

Being a Black Canadian or some would say African-Canadian ( First generation ) compared to others from Diaspora it can be at times an unknown to many outside North America even to our regional neighours America and Mexico  almost as if we are a invisible group of people . There has been actually  a number of generational Black Canadians that existed in Canadian and still exist that  history and most of the Canadian elemantary and high system for many years have not focussed on and simply omitted .  Fortunately for me and others  I have been able to read , meet and at times resarch this hidden gem of Canadian culture and people due to other Canadians and Americans of all backgrounds documenting and highlighted with great efforts the lives of those before me that I had no idea where here for some many generations . It would be nice to share and possibly answer questions about that from my personal experiences as best in a positive way .
