This service is perfect for anyone who wants to ensure their English writing is polished and error-free. Whether you’re working on an essay, report, or any other document up to 1000 words (approximately 4 pages double-spaced), I will help you refine your work to meet high standards of clarity and correctness.

Service Objectives:

  • Correct grammar, vocabulary, word usage, and sentence structure errors.
  • Improve the overall readability and effectiveness of the writing.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve future writing skills.
  • Return the document and feedback within 2 business days.

Lesson Outline

  • Step 1 (Submit document):
    • The student sends their document (up to 1000 words) in advance via file upload.
    • Please specify the type of document (essay, resume, report, etc.) and any particular areas of concern or focus (e.g., grammar, tone, coherence).

  • Step 2 (Proofread document):

    • I will then thoroughly proofread the document, focusing on:
      • Grammar: Correct any grammatical errors, including tense, punctuation, and sentence structure.
      • Vocabulary: Suggest more appropriate or varied word choices where necessary.
      • Word Usage: Ensure the correct use of words and expressions, considering the context and intended meaning.
      • Sentence Structure: Improve sentence flow and readability by addressing issues like run-on sentences, fragments, and awkward phrasing.

  • Step 3 (Make corrections):

    • I will make the corrections directly in the document using tracked changes (if possible) so the student can see what was altered.
    • And also provide margin comments or a summary note explaining the reasoning behind significant changes or suggestions.
  • Step 4 (Produce feedback):
    • I will write a brief feedback section that:
      • Highlights the strengths of the student’s writing.
      • Identifies common or recurring errors and provides tips on how to avoid them.
      • Offers general advice on how to improve clarity, coherence, and overall writing style in future work.
  • Step 5 (Return document):
    • I will send the proofread document back to the student, along with detailed feedback.
    • And encourage the student to review the corrections and feedback carefully.
  • Step 6 (Optional follow-up):
    • If you have questions or need further clarification, you can sign up for my "Review Your Corrections and Improve Your Writing" follow-up discussion class to review the document with me via Skype.
