A longer class for news articles where we will cover the news at a slower pace
Description
This extended session is designed for learners who value depth over speed.
This longer session gives you the time and space to truly engage with a news article. We read the different sections carefully, clarify useful phrases and vocabulary, and explore meaning in context before moving into guided discussion practice.
The extended format of this news class is appropriately called "deep dive" to support deeper understanding of the article, understand why the writer writes in a certain way, and increase your confidence gradually as you express what you think about the article.
Students develop fluency not through speed, but through thoughtful understanding and meaningful conversation.
