As we approach the end of the year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who have taken my lessons throughout 2024.
Your dedication and enthusiasm for learning have made this year truly special for me. In your own unique ways, you have shown kindness and support that have inspired me and brought joy to my work. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue this rewarding journey with you.
Thank you for being a wonderful part of my year!

Today, I'd like to introduce you to my motivation for continuing to study English, which is the same as yours.
(For you it is Japanese)
I currently work for an American IT company in Tokyo. Of course, English is necessary for business emails, but that itself is not a reason to study English. As you know, When I have time, I teach business Japanese online but the lessons are conducted in Japanese so English is not required either.
However, to understand the culture and historical background of my students, I need to speak their language myself and be able to converse on the same level, otherwise, I will not be able to fully understand the essence of their culture and experiences including their life story. Sometimes, when I want to communicate with them like a friend or when I want to tell a joke, there are situations where English is more natural.
I do not think it is necessary to stick to Japanese because it is a Japanese class, but I feel happy to be able to have an interactive and logical conversation with students about current hot topics. We are adults, so we do not want childish conversations. Regardless of the language level, I want to understand the other person and at the same time cultivate the ability to express myself.
I think both of these make this the perfect job for me because I’ve always wanted to work in a global environment with different people from around the world.
People may feel like they are going backward if we don't start something new. When I don't feel my growth, I wonder if the daily habits I set are wrong. But I always realize how important habits are. That's why I want to dedicate my precious time every week to studying English.
