5 Easy Ways to Practise English Every Day ?✨

2026年7月23日

Many people want to improve their English, but they think they need to study for hours every day.

The good news is that you don't need to spend hours studying English to make progress. Even a few minutes of practice every day can help you improve.

Here are five easy ways to practise English every day.

1. Learn a few new words

Try learning just three to five new English words each day.

You can choose words connected to your daily life, such as:

  • Food
  • Work
  • Family
  • Shopping
  • Travel
  • Hobbies

Try to use each new word in a sentence.

For example:

Word: delicious
Sentence: This food is delicious!

Learning a small number of words regularly can help you build your vocabulary over time.

2. Listen to English

Listening to English every day can help you become more familiar with the language.

You can listen to:

  • Short videos
  • Podcasts
  • Songs
  • Audiobooks
  • TV shows or movies

You do not need to understand every word. At first, simply listening is useful.

Try to notice words or phrases that you recognise. Gradually, you may find that you understand more and more.

3. Talk to yourself in English

This may feel strange at first, but talking to yourself is a great way to practise speaking.

You can describe what you are doing:

  • I am making coffee.
  • I am going to the supermarket.
  • The weather is very hot today.

You can also practise talking about your day.

For example:

“Today, I went to work. I was very busy, but I had a good day.”

You do not need to speak perfectly. The goal is to become more comfortable using English.

4. Read something short

Reading does not have to mean reading a long book.

You can read:

  • A short article
  • A social media post
  • A recipe
  • A message
  • A short story

Choose something that interests you. When you find a word you do not know, try to understand its meaning from the sentence before immediately using a dictionary.

Reading a little every day can help you improve your vocabulary and grammar naturally.

5. Write a few sentences

Writing is another easy way to practise English.

At the end of the day, write three simple sentences about your day.

For example:

Today was Monday.
I went to work.
I watched a movie in the evening.

As you become more confident, you can write longer sentences.

Do not worry about making mistakes. Writing gives you an opportunity to practise putting your thoughts into English.

Small steps can make a big difference

The most important thing is to practise regularly.

You do not need to study for three hours every day. Even 10 minutes of English practice each day can help you build a good habit.

Choose activities that you enjoy, and remember that learning English should not always feel like hard work.

Listen to something interesting. Read about a topic you enjoy. Talk about your day. Write about your hobbies.

The more often you use English, the more comfortable you can become.

And remember: you do not need to be perfect to communicate. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn.
