Hello! My name is Teacher Kay, and I’m an online English teacher from South Africa. It’s lovely to meet you!

I started learning English from a young age, and over the years, I discovered something important- language learning becomes much easier when you feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn. That is the kind of environment I create for my students.

One of my biggest strengths is teaching children. I genuinely enjoy working with kids and helping them feel confident while learning English in a fun and natural way. I love using conversation, repetition, games, vocabulary building, and pronunciation practice to help young learners improve without feeling pressured. Seeing children become more confident in speaking English is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.

BUT…

I’m also very adaptable and enjoy teaching adults from different backgrounds and levels. Some students want to improve their grammar, some want better pronunciation, and others simply want to speak more naturally and confidently in everyday conversations. I always tailor my lessons to suit each student’s goals, personality, and learning style.

A large vocabulary helps students express themselves more naturally and confidently, while good grammar helps students communicate clearly.

Many students are afraid of making mistakes, especially children and beginners.
→ My classroom is a safe space where students can practice, learn, and grow with confidence.

★ I can teach both American and British English.
→ Whether your goal is travel, work, school, conversation practice, or improving fluency, I can help guide you.

★ I enjoy helping students build confidence step by step.
Sometimes students know more English than they think — they just need encouragement and practice.
→ I love helping students become more comfortable speaking and expressing themselves naturally.

I believe learning English should feel exciting, rewarding, and empowering. Every student learns differently, and I enjoy adapting my teaching style to help each student succeed at their own pace.
