My Background

Qualifications: CELTA, TESOL, and a Degree in Linguistics
Experience: teaching English for almost 20 years (kids & adults, business, academic, conversation, programming and development, all kinds of classes!)
Lesson focus: confidence, fluency, pronunciation, and practical grammar

I’ve taught a wide variety of students and goals — from complete beginners to advanced learners, and from casual conversation to exam and business English.

My #1 goal is that you feel motivated and safe. Learning a language can be stressful — I study languages too — so I understand how it feels. In my classes, you don’t need to be perfect. You just need to try, and I’ll guide you step-by-step.

Speak as much as you can — I’ll help you find the words
Don’t fear mistakes — we’ll use them to improve quickly

Trial lessons are especially good if you’re nervous. I’ll keep it relaxed, support you carefully, and make sure you feel “That was worth it” by the end of the lesson.
