Hello there!

My name is Kara and I am excited to meet you. 

I am from Texas and I love the English language. I hope to help you love English too! 

I got my bachelor degree in English & Creative Writing with a minor in Latin in 2010. 

Then, I received my master's degree and certification in TEFL in 2013!

Currently, I am working on my second master's degree in Creative Writing and am working on getting my work published this year. 


About me: 

I am married to my husband and we began dating in 2012 before getting married in 2016. We work in the music and entertainment business fulltime. 

We have two cats (Ame and Yuki) and small dog (Momiji)!

As much as I love helping my husband with his career, I miss teaching and sharing life lessons with people. 

My Teaching Style:

I am an easy-going teacher. I do not like to overly pressure students for the answer. I want you to take your time and enjoy the learning process!

My style is conversational, but I also offer more structured lessons for students who want to learn specific things:
- Grammar
- Syntax
- Pronunciation 
- Vocabulary
- Reading and Listening skills 

I also offer specialized lessons about certain topics!
- How to run a YouTube channel
- Marketing your social media
- Creating a brand for your product or service
- Networking with other content creators 

During my internships, I worked mostly with adults with conversational English and classroom based lessons. I have also taught a couple of children's classes which is really fun! 

My goal is to help anyone with their English learning goals along with sharing life's little moments together through conversations!
