My name is Miles Allanson, and I am originally from the northwest of England, although I have spent many years living and working in Canada and the US. I hold a Master's Degree in business and a BA in Political science. Furthermore, I have over eight years of professional experience working in many different areas.
Alongside my professional career, sport has always been a major part of my life. I played collegiate soccer for seven years and have spent many years coaching children and young adults. Through coaching, I developed a passion for mentoring others, helping people build confidence, and creating positive learning environments. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, communication, adaptability, and encouraging individuals to achieve their goals.
I am currently living in Japan because I wanted to challenge myself, experience a new culture, and continue my personal and professional growth. Living in Japan has given me a deeper appreciation for language learning and intercultural communication. As someone who is also learning Japanese, I understand the challenges students face when developing confidence in a second language.
I am an enthusiastic, approachable, and dependable person who enjoys working with people from different backgrounds. Whether through coaching, community engagement, or teaching, I find great satisfaction in helping others learn, grow, and succeed. I believe that creating a supportive and enjoyable environment is one of the most important factors in helping students develop both their skills and confidence.
In my free time, I enjoy soccer, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, snowboarding, traveling, and exploring different cultures. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute positively while continuing to learn from the people and experiences around me.
