Nice to meet you!
My name is Grace, and I am a certified ESL teacher from Davao City, Philippines.
I have been teaching English for over 5 years now, including 4 years dedicated to Japanese and Chinese learners. I hold both TESOL and TEFL certificates, and I am proud to have maintained a 9.6 rating with over 3,318 five-star reviews. I joined Cafetalk because I want to meet new people and share positive energy with those who have a passion for self-improvement.

For those who feel that learning English is a mountain too high to climb, or for those who simply want to reach a higher level of confidence, please try my lessons. Whether you want to have a chat about daily life, share opinions on different cultures, or prepare for a trip, all are welcome.
I am a very family-oriented person, and I am a proud mother to a 17-year-old son. Raising him has taught me the true meaning of patience and being a good listener, values I carry into every classroom. I treat my students with the same care and encouragement I give my family—I am very patient, accommodating, and friendly.

In my free time, I stay active with yoga and pilates, and I love taking my dog for a walk three times a week. I’m an outdoor lover who enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling to discover new places. To keep my energy up, I love eating healthy foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, but I also have a huge heart for Japanese food and singing karaoke!

I decided to become a teacher because I understand exactly what it feels like to struggle. I wasn't "blessed" with perfect skills from the beginning, and there were times when I found it difficult to adapt. But I put a lot of effort into my journey, and after many twists and turns, I realized that in language learning, no effort is ever wasted.
I may not have been exceptionally perfect from the start, but that is the reason why I can share the earnestness and the passion with you. I know the hard work it takes to improve. I am looking forward to meeting people who believe in their potential and want to study together with a smile.
