Ciao! My name is Marco and I'm a native Italian speaker, from Milano, who has been living in New Zealand for the past 10 years. During my time in New Zealand, I have become proficient in English and have discovered a passion for teaching and learning languages. I hold an IELTS certificate with a score equal to 8/9 and I am currently studying in order to gain a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
I have helped many of my friends to learn Italian, and seeing them progress and become more confident in their language skills has been extremely rewarding. I believe that learning a language is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules, but also about immersing oneself in the culture and developing a love for the language.
As a teacher, I am patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping my students achieve their language learning goals. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, I will work with you.
Here at CafeTalk I am teaching both English and Italian.
I am a student myself, in fact I am learning Japanese. This has given me a unique perspective on language learning and teaching. I believe that my own experiences as a language learner have made me a more effective teacher, as I understand the challenges and frustrations that students may face.
