Hello there,
My name is Shawn, and I am a passionate English teacher from Vancouver, Canada. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC, as well as CELTA certification. I am enthusiastic about teaching language and strive to build my students' confidence while celebrating their progress. I am highly organized and always prepared, ensuring that my lessons are structured with clear goals. At the same time, I remain flexible, adapting my plans to meet the individual needs of my students. Ultimately, I do my utmost to guide my students on their language journey, helping them to speak both fluently and accurately.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach people from different age groups and diverse backgrounds. This experience has equipped me with the tools to effectively transfer my expertise and create engaging, interactive, and unique learning experiences for my students, both online and in person.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors jogging, camping, or biking with my wife. Being in nature helps me stay focused and balanced, which in turn allows me to better understand and support my students, providing them with the best possible learning experience.
