Hello, my name is Arney. I’m originally from Ghana and currently residing in Fukuoka, Japan.

I hold a TEFL certification and have over seven years of experience teaching English to students across China, Vietnam, and Japan. After completing my bachelor's degree, I spent more than five years living and working in China, which gave me valuable insights into cross-cultural communication and language learning.

My time in Japan has spanned three years, during which I’ve worked as an English Instructor in various Japanese schools. These experiences have deepened my understanding of student needs and the classroom dynamics unique to Japan.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages—from preschoolers to adults—through elementary schools, English camps, private tutoring, and conversation-focused classes. This diverse background allows me to tailor lessons effectively and empathetically.

My teaching style is friendly, communicative, and student-centered. I focus on building confidence and fluency by creating a supportive and engaging environment. I prioritize clear explanations of grammar and vocabulary, assist with pronunciation, and adjust my speaking speed to suit each learner’s level.

Beyond teaching, I enjoy exploring Japan, soaking in onsens ♨, and watching English-language series. I am passionate about sharing the richness of Ghanaian culture and fostering an authentic connection with the English language.
