Bonjour from Kansai!

My name is Maurice (Moris), I’m French, and I’ve been living in Japan for four years.

I love teaching French — explaining its nuances and helping students understand the grammar points that make this language so rich and fascinating!

I studied Law at university, then worked in Paris for over ten years before moving to Japan, a country I fell in love with through its culture — and where I met my wife.

I’ve been teaching French for three years, to students of all ages: children, teenagers, adults, and retirees.

⭐ My goal is to help you improve your French, whatever your personal or professional objectives may be:

  • Conversation & Pronunciation enhance your conversation skills and pronunciation,
  • Grammar & Vocabulary strengthen your grammar and vocabulary,
  • Culture & Topics and discover French culture through engaging and varied topics.

⏰ Availability & Last-Minute Bookings

My primary teaching hours are typically from 22:00 to 00:00 JST (Japan Standard Time).

Last-Minute Requests (Less than 12 hours): If you need a lesson with short notice, please send me a request! I will check my schedule and confirm my availability for you as quickly as possible.

My lessons are always tailored to each student, according to your goals and pace, using only French — or as much as possible — to encourage natural and effective learning.

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
