Hello!
My name is Daniel, and I am a language instructor currently living in Tokyo, Japan.
I have nearly 7 years of professional teaching experience and have worked with learners ranging from children to business professionals. I teach both English and Spanish, and I have experience with one-on-one and group lessons, from beginner through advanced levels.
My teaching style is practical, flexible, and student-centered. I like to adapt each lesson to each student's goals, interests and level. Depending on what you want to improve, we can focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, business communication, interview or presentation practice, or structured lessons using articles and discussion topics.
For English learners, I particularly enjoy working with professionals who want to communicate more confidently at work, as well as students who want to improve through current topics and guided discussion. I also like to work with beginners, and have lots of experience explaining and using very basic English.
For Spanish learners, I offer structured and conversational lessons using practical topics. As a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, I can also help you understand natural Latin American Spanish and explain regional differences when useful.
I try to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to explain the language clearly, but also to help you use it with more confidence!
