Hello everyone, my name is Wendy. I am a passionate language teacher from Malta, a small island state in the Mediterranean. I have graduated in Bachelor´s of Education, specialising in the teaching of English and Italian at the University of Malta. While studying I was teaching English as a foreign language with EF School of Languages.
Once I completed my studies I started working full time, teaching Italian, at a secondary school. As I progressed in my career, I decided to further my studies by undertaking a Master in Education and later a Certificate in Teacher Mentoring.
I´ve always been an avid traveller and a passionate cook at home. I love familiarising myself with new cultures and trying cuisines from allover the world. Two years back, my family and I relocated to Spain. Here I am dedicating time to a small project aimed at the youngest of learners, that is storytelling sessions for toddlers. I miss teaching though. Hence, I would like to start giving online classes through this platform.
I have a vast teaching experience spanning over 12 years. I´ve taught one to one and small groups at EF School of Languages and privately. I´ve worked in a secondary school teaching Italian to teenagers both in class and online. Throughout my teaching career I always took pride in creating fun and motivating teaching material to be used in class and online.
I am eager to start teaching on Cafetalk because I am looking forward to see you grow and succeed whilst you learn and discover new things.
