I have taught English in ten countries and am a keen traveller and have wriiten 13 books about my travels and illustrated them with my photographs.
I also play music as a hobby and enjoy both folk and classical culture and good food and follow all kinds of sport.
I like to absorb myself in the language and culture of the places that I visit and work in and I am optimistic and have a good sense of humour.

I was an accredited IELTS examiner for Speaking and Writing for more than 20 years and can offer tips and advice on how to improve your IELTS scores from the point of view of an examiner.
I have designed speaking and writing courses using TED Talks and have some great resources to share with my students that will be both interesting and practical.

I can offer general discussions based on topics of interest to students for the purpose of fluency practice and vocabulary extension.

I have a class on Music, Films and Books, where we discuss different genres and our favourites.
I also like to take photographs and offer a course on photo appreciation and description.
I have travelled to over 40 countries, but more importantly, I have lived in 11 countries for extended periods of time (over one year), so I have both cultual curiousity and cultural awareness and look forward to meeting you in my classes. I still have not visited Japan but it is at the top of my list of places to see.
