My name is Emmanuel Ahugah.  I live in Ghana.  I am a professional Teacher & a Chartered Company Secretary. My educational qualifications include TESOL (ASU, U.S.A.), a Professional Degree (ICSA, UK) & a University Diploma (UG, Ghana).

I have about 7 years’ experience of teaching English. I really have the passion for teaching English. It is my belief that teaching English through lessons that are interesting & full of fun always achieves good results. My goal is to use technology to help students to learn, understand, & communicate effectively and fluently within a short period.  My skills include correct Pronunciation, Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, & Grammar. My areas of specialization are General & Business English. My lessons are inspiring, exciting, lively, interactive, effective & full of fun. In class, I use Total Physical Response & tools such as props, videos & quizzes to teach.

I have achieved much success for many years in teaching English as a subject and as a medium of instruction. My teaching style comprises mainly the following: Warm-up activity, Objective discussion, Presentation, Modeling, and Evaluation. Through the use of lively, interesting & stimulating lessons, my students are motivated to learn to communicate in English with other people and also learn other cultures. I usually use the Communicative & Comprehensive Approaches of language teaching and learning.  In class, I encourage my students to ask questions, speak, listen, indicate, write and hold discussions. That makes my lessons interactive, effective, interesting & engaging.

I also have the ability to teach Business subjects at the Intermediate & Advanced levels.

. As a result of my passion for teaching and hard work, I received an Award as the 2nd Best ICT Teacher in the Greater Accra Region in 2008. Apart from teaching, I also have some working experience in Management and Accounting.

My hobbies are football & environmental preservation.
