初めまして！CafeTalkでチューターをやらせていただいている三浦ジェイミーといいます。今年カナダのマギル大学を卒業し今はワシントンでのNPOで働いています。大学では政治学と国際ビジネスを勉強していました。交換留学で東京大学でも勉強したことがあります。

人と一緒に勉強するのがとっても好きで、大学時代にはよく日本から来た交換留学生の英語のヘルプをやっていました。更にはマギル大学のアジアの文化ジャーナルでエディターをしていたので英語のライディングチェックもできます。

 

好きなことはスポーツと人と面白い会話をすることです。特にアイスホッケーとテニスが大好きです。会話ではいろんなことについて話すのが好きですけど。特に政治の話が大好きです。

About Me:

I am a Japanese American who was born and raised in the United States. I have a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. At McGill, I majored in Political Science and double minored in Business Management and East Asian Cultural Studies. I also spent a semester at the University of Tokyo（東京大学), where I took classes at the Faculty of Law and Graduate School of Public Policy.

Teaching Style and Experience:

I teach in a casual and informal way so that my students feel as comfortable as possible. By using fun and creative materials such as current news articles and TED talks, I will create stimulating lessons tailored to your personal needs. I also offer lessons for homework help and essay writing for academic and professional assignments.

During my time in university, I worked with many of my Japanese peers to improve their English skills. I also worked as an editor at one of McGill's academic journals. If interested, feel free to take a look at my lessons below! 

Hobbies and Interests:

Among my many hobbies, I particularly enjoy discussing politics and international relations. I am a massive sports fan. In particular, I enjoy playing tennis and ice hockey. Some of my other hobbies include Asian dramas and attempting to cook!
