Greetings!
I am a United States of America citizen currently living in Japan with my Japanese wife. As a former teacher and tutor back in the States, I am capable of helping learners with their math, science, and even foreign language studies.
My areas of expertise include middle school math and science, high school math and science, pre-calculus, calculus, Japanese Language and Culture, and English as a second language. My teaching style conforms to the specific needs of my students––I try to constantly engage my students with thought-provoking questions and circumstances. I also enjoy using technology to help make learning fun and interactive!
When I am not teaching, I am working at a Japanese technology company during the afternoon and evenings. I have a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and Culture and have also completed coursework in many fields of Engineering. In late 2021, I will also begin Graduate Degree coursework in Linguistics at a Japanese university.
Hobbies of mine include learning, teaching, reading, travelling, writing, video games (Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Pokémon, etc...), making videos & video tutorials, etc...
