Hi! My name is Shiela. I have been teaching English for 6 years for both online and offline platforms. Most of my students were Japanese but I have also taught Taiwanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish.

I use neutral English accent and I am calm when speaking giving you a comfortable and fun lesson. Also, in my lessons, I always practice the 70-30 rule in speaking. This will give students a chance to speak more and express their ideas. I can do lessons for both kids and adults, from beginners to advanced. I have available materials ranging from conversation practice, describing pictures and events, travel and culture materials, basic business English, BBC news reading and discussion to Free Conversation. These lesson materials are in Google Docs form and will be sent to you beforehand. I can do lessons for both 25 minutes and 50 minutes. If you want, I can also do customized classes depending on your needs. 

Most of the lessons I provide are stand alone lessons, which means you can take them at any time for 25-50 minutes. However, these lessons are progressive, so we can track your progress the more lessons you will do with me. 

My interests are reading books, watching movies and I also love outdoor activities like camping, hiking or going to the beach. I live in Cebu, a famous island for its beautiful seas. We do have a lot of pristine beaches and waterfalls to enjoy. 

Learning English could be quite overwhelming however, with continuous practice, your goal is definitely achievable and you can have fun along the process too.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Less than 1hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
  • Between 1-6hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
