Hello(nǐ hǎo), everyone! This is Sherry from South China.

I'm a full-time online Chinese teacher with a passion for language, culture, and real-life communication.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked for nearly 5 years in the finance and tax industry, mainly focusing on auditing and tax consulting for companies across different sectors. This experience allows me to bring practical business insights into my lessons, especially for students who want to improve their Chinese for professional use.

I started teaching Chinese part-time in 2021, and since 2024, I have been teaching full-time. So far, I have completed over 1,500 online lessons with adult learners from all around the world.

I hold a Level 2-A Certificate of Mandarin Proficiency, and I specialize in:

  • Pinyin and pronunciation
  • Daily conversation
  • Business Chinese communication
  • HSK exam preparation

My teaching style goes beyond textbooks. I like to incorporate real-life experiences, cultural context, and practical expressions into my classes, helping students not only learn Chinese, but also understand how people actually speak and live in China.

Outside of teaching, I’m also a travel enthusiast. I’ve explored 28 provinces in China (out of 34) as well as several countries in Southeast Asia. I love discovering different cultures and local food, and I often bring these experiences into my lessons to make learning more engaging and authentic.
