Konnichiwa! はじめまして！

Hello! My name is Janet, and I’m a friendly and patient English tutor from Nigeria. I have over three years of experience teaching English, and I enjoy helping students improve their confidence and communication skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, and I am also TEFL certified. My teaching experience includes helping beginner and intermediate learners improve their grammar, pronunciation, speaking fluency, and everyday English conversation skills.

My lessons are friendly, interactive, and personalized to each student’s goals and learning pace. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and free to make mistakes. During lessons, I gently correct errors, introduce useful vocabulary and expressions, and help students speak more naturally and confidently.

I can also speak a little basic Japanese, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language step by step. I enjoy learning about Japanese culture, music, food, and daily life, and I love meeting students from Japan and around the world. 

Outside teaching, I enjoy language learning, movies, music, casual conversations, and learning about different cultures.
