Hello and welcome! My name is Iryna.
Who I Am:
I am a dedicated professional educator with a Master’s Degree in Translation and over 10 years of international instructional experience. My background includes serving as a University Professor of English Language & Translation for 3 years, as well as working locally with the Japanese Board of Education as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) for 2 years right here in Nagasaki. Because of this, I deeply understand the unique learning styles, goals, and challenges of Japanese students.
What I Teach:
I provide a clear, well-structured approach to language learning. Whether you want to master complex grammar structures, polish your writing skills, or comfortably transition from basic conversational English to true professional fluency, my lessons are customized strictly to your pace. In addition to English, I am always happy to provide native-level conversational practice in Ukrainian and Russian.

What a Lesson With Me Feels Like:
When I was learning English myself, I had the privilege of studying with truly wonderful teachers who built up my motivation and always encouraged me to speak without any pressure. Because of them, I was never afraid to make mistakes, and their creative materials inspired me to become the teacher I am today!
In my lessons, I want to show you the most interesting, beautiful sides of the language. My classroom is a warm, positive, and supportive space where you can completely let go of the fear of making mistakes. We use world-class learning materials via live screen-share so you can visually follow along with ease—no textbook purchases required.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about cross-cultural exchange, and I am a big fan of British humor, figure skating, and Japanese sumo! I believe that combining high academic standards with a gentle, encouraging heart is the secret to unlocking your confidence. I can't wait to welcome you to our first session!
