Hello! I'm Ryo, a native Japanese speaker and an elementary school teacher living in Japan.
I have around 10 years of experience teaching children at a private elementary school. I also have approximately 7 years of experience working at a cram school, where I taught mathematics and science and helped students prepare for junior high school and high school entrance exams.
I have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test, completed a 420-hour Japanese language teacher training course, and hold a Japanese elementary school teaching license.
What can you learn with me?
Japanese for Adults
I offer beginner to intermediate Japanese lessons (A1–B2), including conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, kanji, reading, and writing. Lessons are tailored to your level, interests, and learning goals.
Japanese for Kids
I support children learning Japanese, including children living abroad who want to develop or maintain their Japanese language skills. We can practice conversation, hiragana, katakana, kanji, reading, and writing through engaging activities.
Japanese School Subjects and Exam Preparation
I also offer support with Japanese elementary school subjects, particularly Japanese language and mathematics, as well as mathematics and science lessons for students preparing for school entrance exams in Japan.
My Teaching Style
I believe that every student learns differently. I carefully observe what each student understands and where they need support, and I adapt my explanations and activities accordingly.
Lessons are conducted mainly in Japanese. I speak slowly and clearly, using pictures, written words, and practical examples to make learning easier.
You don't need to worry about making mistakes. My goal is to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where you can learn at your own pace.
