Patrick Murphrey Tutor Profile

Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Patrick Murphrey. Currently I live in Japan. But I have lived in eight different countries. I enjoy traveling, seeing the world, and learning about different cultures. In fact, I have a master’s degree in intercultural understanding. Furthermore, I enjoy foreign languages, reading, and writing. Besides my interest in the world I also enjoy nature- hiking, camping, wildlife watching, canoeing, etc. Finally, I enjoy cooking.

About my teaching, I am an experienced English and Spanish teacher with fifteen years of experience teaching all different ages and levels. I have taught people moving to other countries, preparing for study abroad, and TOEIC. Furthermore, my students have seen results from my lessons.

I can help with conversation ability, everyday life English (for example: shopping, dining out, commuting, greetings, etc), all language skills (for example: grammar, reading, writing, listening, and vocabulary) culture, and how to communicate with a native speaker. I will create well planned, challenging, and fun lessons to fit your needs.

I can also teach Spanish. Furthermore, since I can speak Japanese I can explain in Japanese.
