Nice to meet you! My name is Yuka.
 
I've been teaching Japanese online for a year and a half now, and I enjoy talking to people.
I’m a certified Japanese language tutor who completed The 420 hour Advanced Japanese Teacher training course. I would love to help you learn Japanese!
If you are not comfortable speaking in Japanese yet, we can start our lessons in English.

My hobbies include traveling, reading, and going to museums.
I love to go to the movies, as well as watching Netflix.
I love nature and I’m also interested in environmental issues.

 (Starting from beginner level students)
Would you like to practice Japanese before traveling to Japan? We can practice essential and useful phrases to use when traveling to Japan.
 
3. Learning Japanese through videos
(Intermediate to advanced level students)
Learn everyday conversational Japanese and expressions by using your favorite Japanese TV shows, youtube videos, and Netflix.
 
4. Learning grammar from textbooks
(Beginner level students. Designed for English speakers)
We’ll be using a textbook called “Genki (げんき)” so please have this in hand before our lesson.
※If you would like to use “Minna no Nihongo (みんなの日本語)” please consult me.
 
5. discussions based on news and magazine articles
(Intermediate to advanced level students).
Practice reading and speaking Japanese by using news or magazine articles that interest you.
