Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and I moved to Japan a few years ago and have been teaching English since then. I am currently studying Japanese and understand the difficulty in learning a new language, but also, how important it is to use it!

Teaching Background
I always love meeting new people, getting to know them, and helping them. Currently, the students that I work with range from teenagers to CEOs and executives of companies. For the most part, I try to customize each lesson to suit the students' needs. I have helped students prepare for oversea's trips(talking to locals, shopping, restaurants, etc.), prepare for business meetings and presentations, and also just daily conversations to help communicate with friends!
In Hawaii, I worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for 5 years and loved seeing my patients recover and get better. A big role in being a physical therapist, was teaching them ways to prevent injury as well as maintain good health. When I decided to move to Japan, I thought that teaching English would be fun and challenging. After being here for 3 years, I can say that I really enjoy it!
Lesson Style
My lesson style changes depending on the client. Each client has different needs and I can work with you to help you achieve your personal goals. Generally, I believe that output is very important, so my lessons' focus on getting you to speak English confidently. I welcome students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners as well. Having fun while learning a new language is the key to improving quickly, so let's start now!
Hobbies and Interests
In my freetime, I enjoy doing a lot of action sports (surfing, skateboarding, and bouldering). I also love exploring Japan and trying a lot of the local specialties(I love to eat!). Besides these topics, I like learning about new things, so please tell me about your hobbies too!
