Hello/ Bonjour!
My name is Mylène, I am a professional French teacher (native speaker) who can teach to all levels. I have a Master degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language with 5 years experience in teaching French, so be assured that I can help you with any difficulty you may have!
Playing a game to practise French numbers with high school students.
Originally from the South of France, I live worldwide since a couple of years. So far I have lived and worked in Canada, China and Taïwan and I will be moving to Japan very soon!
I have experience in teaching French and English to students from 4 to 50 years old, mainly Asian students. I have taught in universities, high schools, language schools and as a private teacher. I am a certified DELF-DALF examiner-scorer (official certifications for French) for all levels, and I have as well a TESOL certificate to teach English to kids.
The last day with my high school students in Taïwan.
I am very patient and customer-satisfaction focused. My students usually say I am a kind and funny teacher yet serious and goal-focused.
I have a lot of materials (used in language schools such as Alliance Française) to support my lessons as well as games to help you practise with more fun! My lessons are well structured with materials sent ahead to help you prepare the lesson.
I offer different kinds of lessons (conversation, DELF prep, civilization...) for all levels and all ages. Beginners, advanced and children are all welcomed! More lessons will be offered in a near future (I am thinking of literature or French for kids, what do you think?) and I can tailor a class for you specifically as well, please contact me explaining your needs and we will work on that together :)
On a more personal note, I like travelling and discovering new cultures. I love Asia. I have worked in many different fields before (or beside) being a teacher such as : hotels and restaurants (luxurious hotels), caregiver, customer service agent... If you are learning French to work in the hospitality industry, my experience as a employee in some of the most luxurious hotels in France and Canada will be greatly helpful to you.
I am learning Japanese since I will be living in Japan very soon, although I am not fluent yet I can communicate in Japanese already. We can as well communicate in English if you are a beginner, but French will be used mostly during the class ;)
À bientôt !
