My name is Tenille, and I am 34 years old. I live in Cape Town, in sunny South Africa. I am married and I have a beautiful 10 year old daughter.
In 2011 I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Pretoria. I majored in English Language Studies and Special Needs Education. I am also TEFL/ TESOL certified.
I have 11 wonderful years of experience teaching English to children from all around the world! All of my experience is with children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old. I also homeschool my own daughter.
My teaching style is student-centred and interactive. I like to have my students speaking English for most of the lesson. I make every effort to meet my students at their unique level of English proficiency, and assist them from there. Above all I am kind, patient and friendly. When teaching online I combine my passion for language and my love for children to deliver thoughtful lessons which my students thoroughly enjoy. I create my own slideshows for each lesson, and I use video songs and different media to reinforce the topics at hand.
When I am not teaching you will find me playing guitar or piano at home, or on the sunny beach with our two gorgeous dogs :)
