WHY CHOOSE PHIL?




Hello! I'm Phil.

I've been teaching English for 8 years now. I've taught around 8,000 online lessons so far.

My students are ages 4 all the way up to 70.

I've taught English to Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Turkish, Russians, Iranians, etc.

My students range from A1 up to B2 on the CEFR scale.

I've handled students with almost zero English, and students who have a good foundation, but need more improvement in their overall English skills.

I've handled cute kids as young as 4 years old, and I've handled professionals such as a judge in Turkey, the CFO of a Japanese Motor company, the Director of Research of a Brewery Company in Japan, a Gastrointestinal doctor, and other professionals who were preparing for a speech or presentation.

I've also helped students prepare for their IELTS, TOEIC, and even EIKEN tests.

 

TEACHING PRINCIPLE

My principle in teaching English is quite simple:

Learning English is a skill, so you can learn it too!

 

TEACHING STYLE

Here are three things about my teaching approach:

HOLISTIC

It means I help students improve not just their speaking skills, but also their listening, grammar, and pronunciation skills.

IMMERSIVE

I give my students the environment to improve their skills. It’s important that they only speak and hear English.

It's easier to learn when you are having fun as well.
