Sometimes, I am at my job overnight, so my 'mornings' start slightly later than you might expect! I...
My empathetic personality lends itself to teaching. Using real-world examples is the best way to teach languages to students. Most students need a reason to be invested in their studies. Techniques that improve student engagement are dramatisation, the use of real-world examples, the use of humour and my own personal enthusiasm about the success of my students.

My self-introductions give students a reason to become invested in their lessons, because their teacher is sharing information about himself. I am a recent graduate of The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (Nov 2023). As the youngest of three brothers, building a rapport with young people comes naturally. My intuitive personality also helps to address the difficulties of my students by asking questions, reading body language and identifying barriers to understanding.

Reviewing is one of the most important stages of learning. Using different scenarios (group work, homework etc.) to review the same concept is a creative way to consolidate my students' learning. In order to cater to students of all abilities, I cater for the different interests of my students during lessons; for example, most people enjoy talking about themselves. GCSE oral presentations are a perfect opportunity to recycle grammar points that would otherwise be too theoretical, within the context of my students' own lives. Oral presentations give my students a reason to use their newly learned grammar.

I am available everday, from 16:45 (GMT) onwards, except on Tuesdays. Sometimes, helping others is its own reward!
