I'm British, from the southeast of England, but now I live in Japan. I've been living and teaching in Gifu prefecture for over 20 years.
I first came to Japan to do a homestay. I enjoyed it, so I decided to become an English teacher and stay for a year... but I'm still here!
In my free time, I like hiking, yoga, studying Japanese, making YouTube videos, and playing video games with my son.
Teaching Experience
Since coming to Japan, I've worked at English conversation schools, taught Business English at companies, taught English online, trained other teachers, written curriculum, and taught at Japanese kindergartens. I'm also very familiar with the Eiken tests.
Qualifications
- University of Essex degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence)
- TESOL Certificate (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Trinity College London
- Certificate in Teaching Japanese Students (David English House, Oxford University Press)

- Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 (日本語能力試験2級)
