Hi! I'm Emma, and I'm here to get you where you want to be with your English language skills. You can choose from lessons I've already designed, or we can design lessons to meet your specific interests and needs! I'm here for you, so let's make sure you're learning exactly what you want to :) 

When studying Japanese, speaking with native Japanese speakers frequently not only helped me understand how to really use Japanese in day-to-day life, but it gave me the confidence to use my Japanese more and more! Whether it's starting from the very beginning or fine-tuning your language skills, I'm confident that our time spent studying together will help you understand how to flow between casual and formal American English and a variety of topics like a pro!


More about me:
  • I'm 26 years old.
  • I currently live in San Diego, California！
  • I studied Japanese at the University of Pittsburgh and spent a year abroad studying at Konan University. During my study abroad I lived with a host family, which was an incredible experience. I also fell in love with the Kansai region! 
  • After college I worked at a Japanese cosmetics company so I was able to use Japanese everyday. Maybe you're familiar with some of the brands I worked on (Albion, Paul & Joe, Anna Sui)?
  • I have a wide array of interests from music to tv/movies to cosmetics, sports, cooking, and more! We can chat casually about whatever your interests are or work on some of your goals like writing business emails or giving presentations.
I think you will get the most out of your lessons if you're enjoying them! I'm always here for you to talk about any concerns or to ask any questions.
