Dear Students,

I'm Evelyn from Hungary. I'm a Computational Linguist and ESL teacher with several years of experience in teaching both adults and children. Currently I teach various subjects in English at a primary school in Thailand.

How my students see me in the classroom :)

I mainly offer programming lessons to beginners in Python and Scratch. I strongly believe that learning to code benefits everyone. Even if you don't want to become a professional software developer, basic coding skills can make your life easier. Also, learning to code is fun!

I've started a Ph.D course in Computer Science after obtaining my M.A degree but I haven't finished it yet as I decided to take a break from research to pursue a career as an ESL teacher in an international setting. I get on well with students and I follow a fun-based approach while teaching both online and offline.

This was my first time experiencing Scratch, but Evelyn showed me how simple and friendly the system works even for beginners. It was an enjoyable lesson and I think I will look into the Scratch website after writing this feedback!

I really appreciate that she accepted my lesson request very quickly also. Being a grown-up, it was my first time to attend online coding class. The lesson was structural and practical which covered (1) Introduction to the working environment, (2) Events, (3) Motion, (4) Control, (5) Variables, (6) Conditionals and (7) Loops. Gut für Anfänger Macht Spaß Locker

The slides were very easy to understand and I liked the short hands-on sessions where I was able to try typing some basic codes using Python. If you're interested in Python but not sure where to start, I recommend Evelyn's lesson :-)
